Edgewood High School Students:
One Employer’s Best Kept Secret
.

Tritronics, Inc, a wholesale distributor of consumer electronic parts and accessories, has been part of the Edgewood community since they moved here in 1988.  The business moved from Columbia and very few employees were willing to make the commute.  The Williams family quickly discovered that Edgewood High Sschool was the place to go to find excellent part time employees that couldgrow with the business.

The students at Edgewood where the best pick for us because they collectively had a great work ethic had an excellent knowledge base that provided flexibility and our proximity to school and home meant they showed up on time.  In recent years, Tritronics has hired four graduates of the Academy of Finance.  These students have worked in the accounting department, call center and IT department.  The employees that are graduates of Edgewood are too numerous to count.  However, their success here has helped Tritronics grow to be one of the top five in its industry nationwide.

Currently, the IT Manager, Shipping Manager and Receiving Supervisor are graduates of Edgewood.  The Shipping Manager started as a work experience student in the shipping department and transferred to data processing.  Eleven years and three children later, she is the Shipping Manager.  Many Edgewood students worked after school, and went on to work part time as they finished college.  Tritronics is proud to point out that one of Edgewood’s High School’s teachers put himself through college while working part time at Tritronics.
